Nice place. Attractive, and NO tourists ! (Pardon ? -- no, of course *we*'re not tourists !!!) Rather odd hotel, though, at least in terms of its management. Perfectly acceptable, even good; but the people running it were less than interested in their guests. On one occasion, we returned from a drive to find that we couldn't get in the front door, and had to go 'round to the side door (with 20 billion steps up to the rooms); so we staggered up, then let ourselves back down into the hotel proper via the lift, and I turned on the computer behind the front desk, logged on and did my e-mail -- why not ?! Sure enough, a prospective guest arrived while we were 'minding' the place; and we looked after him, in our fashion, until a duty manager turned up -- without explanation ...

Laundry here was a different story: the less than totally helpful front desk told us that there is no such thing in the town, that we would have to go down to Borgo Trevi -- the suburbs over the railway line (the flat bit !) -- to have our clothes cleaned. We did. It cost us an arm and a leg
